As a professor at the University of Chicago, Martin Marty taught in the Divinity School, the Department of History, and the Committee on the History of Culture from 1963-1998. He focused chiefly on late eighteenth and twentieth century American religious history in the context of “Atlantic Culture.” An ordained minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Professor Marty put considerable effort into the Master of Divinity Program at the Divinity School. Today the Martin Marty Center for the Advanced Study of Religion honors Mr. Marty and his work to support dialogue between religious life and public life.

Dr. Rolf Jacobson in Toledo
Dr. Rolf Jacobson will be presenting on the theme “The Greatest Story Never Told: Rethinking the Role of Biblical Fluency in Mature Christian Faith” at an event for rostered leaders on Thursday, March 8th at Providence Lutheran Church in Holland.
Dr. Jacobson is a professor at Luther Seminary, author of several Augsburg Fortress books, and a frequent contributor to the Working Preacher podcast.
