Ordination & Installation of Karen Stetins
Dear Pastors, Rostered Lay Leaders, and Brothers & Sisters in Christ in the Maumee Valley Conference,
We are pleased to announce that on Sunday, July 25, 2010, Karen L. Stetins will be ordained into the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 3309 N. Seminary Ave., Chicago, Illinois. The Service of Holy Communion with the Rite of Ordination will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Resurrection.
Karen has been called by St. Paul Lutheran Church, 601 Flat Rock Drive, Paulding, Ohio where she will be installed as Pastor on Wednesday, July 28, at 6:30 p.m. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The color of the day is red. There will be a reception following the service.
We invite you to be present for this special service. We know that you will remember this ministry in your prayers, and will want to announce this service to your people. If you or a member cannot attend, we suggest that a letter or email be sent to the pastor and the congregation. St. Paul’s email address is pldluth@bright.net.
I give thanks to God for our continuing partnership in the Gospel.
Your brother in Christ,
Bishop Marcus C. Lohrmann

Re: Synod Ordination Service
Please mark August 1, 2010 on your personal and congregational calendars. This is the date for our synod ordination service for Sarah Teichmann and Joseph Lees. Sarah has been called as pastor to Zion, Latcha, while Joseph has been called as pastor to St. John, Fremont. This is a very special day in the life of our synod, as well as in the lives of these two graduates and the congregations who have affirmed them for ministry. Please announce this event to your congregation. In particular, invite your young people to attend with you so that they might have an experience of the larger church, and perhaps begin to hear the call to ordained ministry for themselves. Here are the details:
