God’s Mission and Worship

Let the Servant Church Arise: God’s Mission and Worship is an opportunity for congregational worship leaders, outreach leaders, and pastors to meet to explore the connection between worship and mission.

Let the Servant Church Arise is being offered three times to maximize the number of participants across the synod. Please note that these three events are essentially the same.

• Saturday, August 4 at First Lutheran, Upper Sandusky
• Saturday, August 25 at Community of Christ, Whitehouse
• Saturday September 15 at St. Peter, Delphos

The program runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm, and lunch is included. Each of these events follow the pattern of Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending.

The content of the event will help us consider:

• Our worship life as it is
• God’s values—and ours—for worship
• Reflection on the history of and innovation in Christian worship
• Address the conflict that sometimes arises regarding worship matters
• Discover the connection between worship and mission.

Registration

Early registration is $10 per participant. The deadline is 2 weeks prior to the event (July 20, August 10, August 31). Late registration is $15 per participant.
