Church in Society
The Northwestern Ohio Synod is called to work with Cherish our Children and the ELCA’s Hunger Appeal to help those most vunerable and in need. More information on these ministries can be found by clicking here.
The Northwestern Ohio Synod has entered into a companion synod relationship with the Dodoma Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, as well as the Southwestern Washington Synod of the Evanglical Lutheran Church in America. Click here for more information on our Companion Synods.

Lutheran Disaster Response
The Northwester Ohio Synod promotes the mission of Lutheran Disaster Response as they attend to those in need in the synod and throughout the United States. For more information on Lutheran Disaster Response, click here.
Lutheran Campus Ministries
Providing an ELCA presence at more than 180 state and private colleges and universities, with cooperating congregations in campus ministry at an additional 400 campuses nationwide, Lutheran Campus Ministries keeps faith active during a time of change for young adults. In order to provide greater access to theological education for ministry for all the baptized in Regions 4, 5 and 6, the Covenant Cluster Network will: convene the theological education providers within the Covenant Cluster including the colleges, seminaries, campus ministries, synods and synodical non-degree programs, camps and teaching congregations and encourage networking among theological education providers by creating the opportunity for coordination, cooperation and/or collaboration among theological education providers.Click here to visit the Covenant Cluster website.
Mission Partner congregations develop mutually supportive relationships so that each congregation is encouraged in its outreach. These partnerships enable new and renewing missions to have what they initially need in finances, basic needs, spiritual and prayer support, etc. to “make Christ known” in their communities. Lutheran Outdoor Ministries
Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Ohio (LOMO) is a year-round ministry serving the three Ohio synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. All of the LOMO sites are ACA accredited and safety is a high priority. LOMO Operates four camps: Camp Luther, Camp Mowana, Lutheran Memorial Camp (LMC), and LOMO Outreach.
